Tamasha, a relatively new video streaming platform, was launched in Pakistan 6 months ago and rolled out to Android and iOS stores along with a website.
As part of its content catalogue, the platform offers the country’s largest news, entertainment and live regional TV channels, as well as on-demand access to the latest Pakistani films, classic hit dramas and regional content.

“Video streaming is heating up in Pakistan with a big shift in how users enjoy entertainment as digital consumption in the last two years. Whilst major cricket events still attract viewership on big screens such as television, with increasing internet and smartphone penetration, sports enthusiasts in Pakistan are not limiting their big game viewing to a few hours of live play. They want to watch what they want, when they want and how they want, especially when it comes to sports,” said Aamer Ejaz, Chief Digital Officer, Jazz PMCL.
“Our goal has always been to maximize our broadcast coverage to ensure the Pakistani people always have access to quality live sporting events. Partnering with a quality digital platform like Tamasha gives us the opportunity to reach the burgeoning internet and digital user base in Pakistan. We look forward to this partnership and to jointly developing new ways to bring live sports to Pakistanis with ease,” said Aly Rana, Chief Operating Officer, Ten Sports Pakistan.
Earlier this year, Tamasha introduced Formula 1, the most prestigious international motorsport tournament. Formula 1 enthusiasts can now stream all Grand Prix races without having to pay any subscription fees.
